Developer Roundup Volume III

The latest on how we’re working with those who code.

Developer Roundup Volume III

Well, it’s time for our quarterly Developer Roundup. The first few months of 2019 have been quite active for us. The goal? Help developers make data work for them with Qlik’s Associative Engine, APIs, community and code.

Let’s dig in, shall we?

AWS Summit Santa Clara Debut

We recently took part in AWS Summit Santa Clara where technologists come together to “connect, collaborate and learn about AWS.” This included keynotes from the Chief Technology Officer of Amazon.com and one of their artificial intelligence leaders, as well as over 45 sessions on topics like machine learning, hybrid clouds and database migration.

At our booth, we met developers from various industries and talked Qlik Core and Qlik Sense Cloud. As you may recall, AWS recently announced their new marketplace for container products and Qlik Core is a part of it. It’s deployable through Amazon EKS so that was a big topic of discussion.

Who’s Ready for Qonnections?

We are! And our developer track sessions are live for registration. Just view the ‘Developer’ Program Track. You can also find ‘Qlik Core’ content under Featured Products. And you’ll definitely want to check out the Qlik Hack Challenge — working to support the United Nations (UN) and related agencies, we’re challenging developer teams to create solutions that will help businesses become more sustainable by reducing their carbon footprint. Keep an eye out for full challenge details in early April.

Qlik Core March Updates

Have you tried Qlik Core yet? If not, learn why you should use our analytics development platform built around the powerful Associative Engine and Qlik-authored open source libraries.

And now is the perfect time with updates in the Qlik Core tooling. We’ve just introduced a new utility library called hamus.js. Utilizing the new React Hook API, this simplifies using enigma.js models and layouts and rendering picasso.js charts based on hypercubes. There are also recent updates to corectl (delivers a CLI for the Engine) and catwalk (helps you visualize your data model as you’re building). Get the details in our Qlik Core March Update.

TED Program Growth

Our Trusted Extension Developer (TED) Program continues to grow. The goal is to share vetted extensions from partners who develop high quality, commercially viable solutions. The latest accredited extension is from Qore Solutions — dig into their Qommentary extension in addition to our other #QlikTED offerings on Qlik Market. And stay tuned for more to come on our automation pipeline and future offerings around accreditation.

Want to get the latest on all that is #Qlik and developer? Here are some hints — #QlikCore, #QlikTED, #Qonnections, #QlikHackChallenge and #AWSSummit. But read all about it in our third edition of the developer roundup.
