Qlik Academic Program: Now Available in Over 150 Universities in India!

India’s Massive Talent Pool now has even more access to Advanced Analytics and Data Literacy Skills as the Fourth Industrial Revolution makes Data-Skills a Requirement

Qlik Academic Program: Now Available in Over 150 Universities in India!

Last week, Qlik took another significant step in creating a more data literate world by integrating the Qlik Academic Program into curriculum in over 150 universities across India. This significantly expands already established programs in universities such as IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, SP Jain School of Global Management, and NIT Karnataka. The program will now be enjoyed by students in leading universities such as IIM Ahmedabad, Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, NIT Patna, IIM Guwahati, IIM Raipur, and IIM Kozhikode.

Open to all accredited higher education institutions worldwide, the Qlik Academic Program is an easily adoptable program aimed at helping any university strengthen their academic offerings through the addition of marketable data skills to their curriculum programmes. The program enables access to the Qlik Data Analytics Curriculum, providing professors a variety of ready-to-teach, free resources – including instructor-led content, in-class activities and interactive business case studies. Students and professors can also take advantage of Qlik Continuous Classroom, a self-paced learning platform with over 125 hours of online learning content. University students in India will now be among several others from participating institutes to have already completed the coursework and received a Qlik Sense Business Analyst or Data Architect Qualification.

The adoption of the Qlik Academic Program in India is most prominent across institutions offering engineering courses given the natural alignment of analytics with subjects such as data mining, database management and programming. However, academic streams such as business management and social sciences are increasingly leveraging the program to bring value-added resources to research projects and to enable learning for improved decision-making processes through data. With the latest expansion, the Qlik Academic Program is now available at more than 1,200 universities in more than 75 countries.

This growing interest in data literacy and data-focused educational resources is incredibly timely and important. Despite two-thirds (63%) of companies seeking data literate employees, business leaders have been unwilling to commit resources to improve the data literacy of their workforce – with only 34% of firms currently providing data literacy training according to Qlik’s Data Literacy Survey. The Qlik Academic Program gives students every opportunity across every academic discipline to become more job-ready with advanced analytical and data literacy skills.
